As someone who loves movies, I found it really hard to condense this list to something I was happy with as I have so many movies that I watch time and time again or hold a special place in my heart. However, I think I have managed to make a list I am happy with, as if any of them made any more movies following the characters I would not be disappointed.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: I am very aware this is a sequel but I think both the Mamma Mia! movies are great in there own right. The reason ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is my favourite is because before it’s release the original was my favourite but this movie came out just before my mum passed and the storyline this one follows really spoke to me. It’s sad but also so energetic and lively with all the music, I also love that it goes between young Donna and current Sophie. A movie I can never get bored of.

Top Gun: Maverick: As I said in my review of this movie, it has a little bit of everything and I find that so endearing. I am routing for Maverick and Rooster to make up, wanting Maverick and Penny to end up together, loving the action of the mission and seeing the banter between the team. Again, I know this is a sequel and the first film is good but being in a new generation the sequel with the music and the cast appeals to me more but that’s just personal preference.

Just Go With It: This is just such a comfort film and an easy watch. With all Adam Sandler films you can expect a weird, wonderful and humorous time and this is exactly what you get with this film. The mix of Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston together never fails to entertain me, the back and forth they have is too funny. Love the fake family going on holiday together to impress the girlfriend storyline, then Anniston’s character needs to use Sandler in a fake scenario against an old college nemesis. So many fun moments and something I’ll never get bored of watching.

Bridget Jones’s Diary: I think every day I get older I start to feel a little bit like Bridget Jones, she is just so relatable and funny. She manages to get herself in some crazy positions but it just makes her even more normal and loveable. I love all the films in this series but you wouldn’t have the rest without the original and that’s why its my favourite and is just a truly perfect romcom.

Just missing out – Twisters, The Great Gatsby, Captain America: Civil War, The Parent Trap & Moulin Rouge
